Spring Hill Press Release

The Huskies traveled to Spring Hill for their first running action of the season.  It was finally time to toe the line and put all their hard training into action on the course.  They did not disappoint.  The Huskies brought home 13 of the 40 medals, along with 2 individual champions, 1 runner up, and one team championship!

In the first race of the day the 7th grade girls ran hard.  Bringing home medals were Haylee Weese in 4th, Caroline Clark in 6th, and Ava Yager in 8th.  Rounding out the team scoring was Aaliyah Kerby in 18th.  The girls ran to a 2nd place team finish.

The 7th grade boys came out firing on all cylinders. Gil Brown and Parker Walion were at the front from the gun. After a hard fought race Gil brought home 1st place and Parker 2nd.  They were joined in medals by Jackson Rhea in 5th, Aleko Khundadze in 7th, and Avante Peppers in 8th.  Rounding out the team finishes were Jack Lloyd in 21st, Atticus Adams in 24th, Laden Henke in 25th, and Connor Peterson in 26th. With five top ten finishers the boys easily took home the team title.

The 8th grade girls brought home 3 medals as well with Brenley Cunningham finishing in 4th, Trinity Hudson in 6th, and Dakota Konzem in 7th.  Rounding out team scoring was Elizabeth Fiedler in 13th.  The 8th grade girls score was good for a team 2nd place finish.

The 8th grade boys brought the Huskies another champion.  Landon Comstock brought home the gold and was joined in medals by Carter Beasley in 7th. Ben Pahls narrowly missed the medals coming in 11th and was followed through the chute by Diego Erives in 12th.  Nate Wilson came in 15th, Chris Lewis in 16th, Eric Massaro in 17th, Aidan Harris in 20th, and Jason Pitts in 23rd.The boys hard running also brought them a 2nd place finish.

With one short day for recovery the Huskies will be back in action Saturday at Celebration park.
