Press release for TRMS Invitational

The Huskies played host Saturday for their home cross country meet.  It was a great day for a run. The day started with a fun run for the future for cross country, then we moved to the main events.  

The 7th grade girls brought home one medal, Haylee Weese was 7th.  Caroline Clarke was edged at the line and missed a medal by 4 hundredths of a second coming in 16th.  Ava Yager finished 38th, Aaliyah Kerby was 54th, and Marissa Wise was 64th.  The girls finished 6th as a team.

The 7th grade boys impressed today bringing home 5 medals.  Gilan Brown was 16 hundredths of a second from winning the race, but pushed himself to a 2nd place finish and a new school record running a 5:36.27.  Parker Walion finished in 3rd, Jackson Rhea 8th, and Aleko Kundadze was 14th to round out medals.  Brooklyn Waswa was 20th, Avonte Peppers was 23rd, Connor Peterson 53rd, Chase Anderson 54th, Jack Lloyd 57th, Laden Henke was 61st, and Atticus Adams was 62nd.  The boys finished 2nd as a team.

The 8th grade girls had medalists Brenley Cunningham at 5th, and Trinity Hudson in 15th. Dakota Konzem finished in 22nd.

The 8th grade boys had a meet champion in Landon Comostock. He was joined in medals by Carter Beasley in 10th. Ben Pahls missed medals by 1, finishing in 16th.  Nate Wilson was 29th, Diego Erives in 30th, Cole Darby in 32nd, Chris Lewis in 34th, Eric Massaro in 37th, Aidan Harris in 45th, Jason Pitts in 46th, and Nick Johnson in 48th. The boys finished 4th as a team.

Thank you to everybody who made this meet possible, it was an outstanding day and great for the kids!  The Huskies are back in action Thursday at Camp Chippewa for the West Franklin meet.
