Ottawa meet-Postponed

THE OTTAWA MEET HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 30TH!

Cross Country Participants,

The Ottawa Middle School Cross Country Meet is Monday, September 30th at the high school’s course located on Eisenhower Rd. just south (1/2 mile ) of I-35.  Just keep going on the gravel road straight south till you see the course on the left. Parking is available on Eisenhower Rd west of the course and Kingman Rd. north of the course.  Buses should park south of the hill on Eisenhower Rd. There will be directional signs.

PLEASE DIRECT YOUR TEAM AND FANS TO AVOID THE QUARRY ON THE EAST SIDE!!!!!

 PLEASE ASK YOUR RUNNERS TO TELL THEIR FAMILIES – PETS SHOULD NOT BE BROUGHT TO THE COURSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are giving medals to the top 20 in each race.  Medals will be handed out in the chute.  

Press release West Franklin at Camp Chippewa

The Huskies traveled to Camp Chippewa Thursday for more cross country action.  It was a different set up than they have competed in before.  The groups were combined, so it was a 7th and 8th grade girls race and then a 7th and 8th grade boys race and all ran the 2 mile race. 

For the girls Evie Watkins finished in 6th place, Caroline Clarke in 10th, and Maddie Carman in 12th.  Ava Yager was 20th, Libby Fry 23rd, Kylee Melton 24th, Ellie Rhea 30th, Lauren Deer 35th, Karla Salas 38th, Sofia Tortolero 41st, Meredith Lewis 42nd, and Janet Nwofor 49th. 

On the boys side Gilan Brown won his second consecutive race. He was joined in medals by Parker Walion in 6th, Robert Falkner in 7th, Jackson Rhea in 20th, Seth Greener in 23rd, Asher Bowyer in 25th, and Benton Eimers in 26th.  Carson Hilton was just outside of medals in 29th.  He was followed by Danny Wahl in 32nd, Gage Davis in 26th, Connor Postel in 38th, Josh Davila in 39th, Abenezer Worku in 43rd, Nathan Smith in 51st, Atticus Adams in 52nd, Blake Hunt in 53rd, Lukas Fitzpatrick in 54th, Chase Andersen in 55th, Jack Lloyd in 61st, Logan Evers in 65th, Austin Ross in 66th, and Jackson Myers in 68th. 

The Huskies have a few days off before they go to tackle the hills of Ottawa on Monday.
