Press Release Wellsville

The Huskies traveled to Wellsville Thursday for their second race of the season.  After a short weather delay, they had the opportunity to show their stuff on the course.  It was the first time the 7th graders ran a 2 mile course, but they rose to the challenge.

For the 7th grade girls, Evie Watkins brought home with 16th place medal and Maddie Carman the 23rd place medal.  Lauren Deer was 38th, Kylee Melton 43rd, Libby Fry 44th, Maggie Sloss 65th, Karla Salas 73rd, Sofia Tortolero 74th, Meredith Lewis 76th, Dani King 92nd, and Janet Nwofor 96th.  The girls' team finished 5th overall.

The 7th grade boys were led by Robert Falkner in 11th and Asher Bowyer in 22nd.  Seth Greener was just outside of medals in 27th. He was followed by Danny Wahl in 29th, Connor Postel in 43rd, Benton Eimers in 44th, Nathan Smith in 65th, Gage Davis in 93rd, Blake Hunt in 97th, Austin Ross in 113th, Jackson Myers in 114th, Spencer Wu in 117th,  and Logan Evers in 132nd.  The boys' team finished in 4th. 

For 8th grade girls, Caroline Clarke brought home the 16th place medal and Ava Yager finished 44th.

For 7th grade boys, Gilan Brown brought home the bronze medal. He was joined in medals by Parker Walion in 18th.  Jackson Rhea was 33rd, Carson Hilton 54th, Josh Davila in 80th, Abenezer Worku in 84th, Lukas Fitzpatrick in 99th, Atticus Adams in 100th, Chase Andersen in 112th, an Jack Lloyd in 119th. As a team, the boys took 3rd place as a team.

The Huskies get a day of rest and recuperation, then are back in action Saturday for their home meet at TRMS.
